The Story
Pink Among Men Productions was founded in 2018 by filmmaker Amy DePaola after she worked one too many projects that didn’t pay any attention to equity on or off-screen.
A natural leader and entrepreneur, Amy filled this void by taking the helm without permission. She developed her production prowess in the DIY, indie film scene in New York and later made it official by obtaining her MFA (a Mother Fcuking Artist) Degree in Film from Emerson College.
She began her directing career in an unconventional way, boxing in an amateur match that left her with an award winning film and a cut above her eye. Now, she’s a five-foot-one, but towering, director and producer with pivotal leadership experience in both creative and logistical roles for scripted and unscripted films, commercials, podcasts, digital projects and events.
Amy has worn all the hats, leading to a deep understanding of every single role and decision it takes. This has made her more effective than others, dubbing her a “rockstar” and “badass” by those seeking her services.
